Ads compliance

Connect your Meta Ads account, sync and scan your ads for policy and ban-risk signals, read the flags, and dismiss the ones you have handled.

Ads Compliance scans your live Meta ads for the policy and ban-risk signals that get Health and Wellness accounts flagged. It connects to your Meta Ads account, pulls in your ads, and rates each one so you can fix the risky copy and creative before Meta does it for you.

Ads Compliance lives in the sidebar under Tools → Ads Compliance (/tools/ads-compliance).

Connect your Meta Ads account

Connecting uses a Meta Business System User token, which gives Zappush read-only access to your ads. Click Connect Meta Ads and follow the wizard.

  1. Open business.facebook.com in a new tab.
  2. Go to Business Settings → Users → System Users → Add.
  3. Name it (for example, Unrestrict Compliance Reader) and set role to Admin.
  4. Click Add Assets → Ad Accounts and select the ones you want to scan.
  5. Click Generate New Token, choose the permissions ads_read and business_management, and set the token to never expire.
  6. Copy the token, paste it into System User access token, and click Test connection.
  7. Once the token checks out, the accounts you assigned appear. Tick the ones to scan, give the connection a name, and click Save connection.

You must be an admin on the Meta Business Manager to create a System User token. If the test says no ad accounts are accessible, go back and assign ad accounts to the System User in Business Settings.

Sync and analyze

Once connected, the home screen shows a card per connection with its status: Connected, Reconnect required if the token stopped working, or Revoked.

  • Click Sync ads to pull the latest ads from Meta. The button shows how many it has synced as it runs.
  • Click Analyze ads to scan your synced ads against the ban-risk ruleset. It shows progress as it works through them.

Read the ad list

Below the connection cards, the ad list shows every synced ad. Each row has:

  • A thumbnail and the ad's name, with its campaign and ad set below.
  • Risk: a severity badge, one of Low risk, Moderate, High risk, or Very high, with a score. A dash means the ad has not been analyzed yet. Below it, the top policy issues found.
  • Format: image, video, or carousel, with a count if the ad has multiple variants.
  • Status: the ad's status in Meta (Active, Paused, Disapproved, and so on).
  • Last synced: when the ad was last pulled.

Use the search box to find ads by name or copy. The toolbar buttons filter by Meta status (Active, Paused, Archived) and by risk level. Toggle as many as you like.

Read a flag

Click a row to open the ad detail. The left side shows the creative and copy (primary text, headline, description, call to action, landing URL) with a link to Open in Meta Ads Manager. The right side shows the risk badge and each compliance flag. A flag gives you:

  • The policy it relates to and its severity (low, medium, or high).
  • Found: the exact text or creative location that triggered it. For video, click it to jump the player to that moment.
  • Why it violates the policy, and a Suggested fix where one applies.

The What's compliant list notes what the ad already does right.

Act on a flag

  • Click Dismiss on a flag you have reviewed or handled. It greys out and is marked Dismissed.
  • Click Re-analyze at the top of the detail to rescan a single ad, for example after you have edited it in Meta.

Scan history

Click History to see every sync and analysis run: the job type, its result (ads synced, or analyzed and flagged counts), status, who triggered it, how long it took, and when. Use this to confirm a scan finished or to see why one stopped.

You'll know it worked when

Your connection card reads Connected, the ad list fills with your synced ads after a sync, and each analyzed ad carries a risk badge with the flags you can open and act on.
